He's usually quiet unless spoken to. He prefers quiet places where he can focus on his art. Will often assume things about people, though he tries not to if he notices it. Acts grumpy around most people he doesn't know well but will try to be polite anyways. Very shy, though he doesn't admit it. Not afraid to get his hands dirty.

Background:
Before Ritsuka was born, his dad left so his mom had to raise him alone. Though that didn't go very well... his mom worked long hours and would hardly pay any attention to him. When Ritsuka was about 5, his mom would leave him at home with plenty to eat, having him raise himself. He wasn't allowed to go out, and there wasn't really much to do. He usually entertained himself by drawing.

His mom remarried to another man who also had a son, when Ritsuka was 7. His stepfather also worked long hours and he didn't get along with either of them at first, he was jealous of their more loving and happy lifestyle, but he at least felt a little less lonely with his new step brother around... they were around the same age and were in the same class because of it, but Ritsuka still didn't like him. His stepfather was an editor for a manga company, so he would often bring Ritsuka some books, hoping to get Ritsuka to like him, even a little. Ritsuka enjoyed reading the books and wanted to get better at drawing, he really loved doing it and considered getting into the manga business as well... but didn't take it very seriously. After awhile, his brother was able to get closer to him and he became less of a closed off person. His brother saw some of his drawings and really loved them, he encouraged Ritsuka to go further with his art. He followed his advice and is trying hard to do what he loves. He applied to One High, hoping he could become an amazing mangaka someday and that he would also get closer to his father.

His eyebrows are shaped a little funny, making him looks more sad/innocent than he is.
